Mom & Dad - Lemon & Sora

Babies were pulled for handfeeding on April 15 and are doing great.  The three oldest weighed 50 grams with empty crops.  They are so sweet, just like their mom and dad.  And they are so busy - already interested in moving about and exploring.

I am excited to see what colors they will be once they are all feathered.  Poe and Pez had white fluff when hatched, while Peep, Pip and Pep had cinnamon-tan fuzz.  Poe may be Dutch Blue like his cousins. Time will tell, I guess.

Mom, Lemon,  is Pied with unknown "splits" and Dad, Sora,  is a Double-Factor Dark Dutch Blue (Mauve, Slate) Pied.  Sora's dad had the same coloration and his mom is a Double Factor Dark Dutch Blue. He had siblings of both color variations.  Both were raised elsewhere and not handfed, but eventually tamed to be very sweet and easy to handle.  Just very gentle dispositions.

These babies could be male or female.   I am sorry - but I am unable to sex lovebirds at this age.

* Temporary baby names have been given to these sweeties.  Please - feel free to change them once you bring them home!

If you are interested in learning more about these babies or how to reserve one, please Contact Us by using our email form.  Sorry, we do not ship!
