, mom, is a double dark factor Dutch Blue (aka Mauve, Slate). She was a
bit protective so it was difficult to get good photos earlier on. She did
a terrific job taking care of her babies and building a beautiful nest for them
to hatch in.
Tico,
dad, is one of my babies from Sky and Tava. He is Dutch Blue and my
class clown. He takes after his Dad and has an incredible personality and is
such a sweetie.
Babies were pulled for handfeeding on April
22 and are doing great. They are so sweet and love to
snuggle.
While they appear to be identical - differences are starting to emerge
in their personalities. I can't wait to see them feather. I suspect
they will all have the pastel color to their faces.
These
babies could be male or female. I am sorry - but I am unable
to sex lovebirds at this age.
* Temporary baby names have been given to these
sweeties. Please - feel free to change them once you bring them
home!
